July Meeting Minutes

Harald ably filled in for me at the Meeting.

There were several nicely turned out kits and after-market goodies on the display table.

Lee told us that the Show was proceeding nicely with sponsorships still coming in.

Discussions were held over the offer from the Library of display cases and interest was shown in a Saturday Build-session there – possible as an adjunct before or after the October Show.

Dave gave a lengthy and interesting talk on scratch-building, a subject I have always likened to voodoo. I am very sad to have missed it, as I feel it is a talent too few of us have taken a crack at.

June Meeting \minutes

We had a nice crowd out on Wednesday. Adam gave his show report. Steve reported that we have ample money in the account to operate for the rest of the year, at least. Steve also reported that the Westmount Library wondered if we wanted to use the display cases at the Library and to have a Saturday Open House there. It was decided that this would be a good lead-up to the Show and that we should plan on something in September.

Steve said that he would update the Club Flyer as this needed to be done for the Show anyways and have 500 (For $16.00) done for the Open House and the Show. Steve will co-ordinate the Library events at the August Meeting.

Ed gave notice that he has accepted a work position out-of-town and this will be his last meeting. He will be greatly missed by all for his wit and experience.

Don gave a photo tour of the Florida Air Museum and Kermit Weeks’ Fantasy of Flight Museum – both in Lakeland, Florida.
