November Meeting Minutes

Adam reports that we have booked the Carling Heights Community Centre for Saturday, October 2, 2010. The fees will be a little more this year, but we should be OK in the budget. The next step is booking infrastructure such as tables, PA system, etc. Vendors and sponsors will be contacted.
It was voted that Club Elections will be at the January Meeting. All positions will be for two years, but the President’s office will be staggered from that of Vice=President and Secretary. To do this, in January we will elect a President for 2 years and a VP and Sec. for one year.
The 2009 Year Builds will need to be finished by the January Meeting. A prize of $25.00 will be randomly chosen from the completed models (those already presented need not be brought again).
The 2010 Year Builds should be done for the 2010 Show and shown at the Show to qualify.
A request from the RCR Museum for assistance in a diorama contest was distributed. Adam will contact them to see if something can be done as an adjunct to the 2010 show.
Steve reports that there may be a dues increase for next year, depending on Members numbers and will report further in December.
A reminder that December will be Pizza-Jeopardy Night and there will be 3 $15.00 prizes for the winning team. Lets’s get a big turnout for this night, and remember to bring your $30.00 for dues – anyone paying at the December Meeting will not be subject to any dues increase in 2010.
