February and March Meetings

Hi, folks;

I wanted to get this post out as this web site will be closing in February and we will be going with our Facebook site ONLY until our new Show Website gets running – hopefully with a club add-on to go with it at some point.

The February Meeting will be at 7pm, Wednesday February 8 at the Westmount Library. I will be on Holidays, so Kerry will be filling in and running the night. He has promised to be nicer than me and will have a presentation to be announced then. Thank you for filling in for me.

The March Meeting will be at 7pm, Wednesday March 14 at the Westmount Library. This Meeting will be our annual Swap Night – so bring out all your kits you will not be building, books unread, etc. and let the rest of us have a crack at them! I will be back from vacation by then and will be looking to buy and sell some great stuff!!!

REMEMBER – IN ALL LIKELYHOOD THIS WILL BE THE LAST POST ON THIS WEBSITE. See y’all on Facebook.

January Meeting Minutes

The January Meeting was a lot of fun, with the Members bringing in a number of kits to qualify for their 2012 Year Build. Many comments and votes on which kit each menber should build.

We had 5 new Memberships sold - 3 returning “old” members and 2 new ones. Also – a prospective member, Alik, came out to see what we were all about. Welcome to all of the above – it looks like 2012 will be a good year with lots of new blood.

Club Election for President (or Railroading – whichever you prefer lol) were held with yours truly being acclaimed for another 2 year term.

Tom and his Show Committee will be working on getting the 2012 Show website up and runing in the next couple of months.

January Meeting Notice

Hi, folks – an early notice to give everyone time to get ready. The January Meeting will be on Wednesday, January 11, 7-9pm at the Westmount Library on Wonderland Road South, London.

We will be holding club elections for the position of President.

Also, everyone is to bring 3 kits, one of which must be completed by December, 2012 in order to qualify for the 2012 Year Build Trophy. We will all “Ooh and Aah” at the kits and give constructive (? lol) advice on which must be built.

Remember as well to bring your $30.00 Membership Fee, or Adam’s Ninjas will be after you.

So – have a happy Holiday Season and I look forward to seeing everyone in January.

A fun, social evening befitting the season. Welcome to Justin who came out to see what we were all about – hope to see you as a regular. Grats to Doug who won the trophy for 2011 Year Build - ty, again, to Dave for the beautiful trophy. A great show table and nice treats thanks to Ben’s wife.See everyone next year.

Hi, folks;

The December Meeting will be held at the Westmount Library on Wonderland Road South at 7pm, Wed. Dec. 14.

Please bring your 2011 Builds to the Meeting as a trophy will be awarded by lot to one of the kits. Ty, Dave – for the special trophy.

Please remember to bring your $30 for 2012 dues.

The rest of the evening will be social as befits the Season.

November Meeting Minutes

Hi, folks;

It was decided that dues for next year will be set at $30.00. Everyone was warned that if they did not have their dues paid by January, they would be dinged an extra $5.00 per month. This barbaric scheme was concocted by yours truly to cut down on my paperwork lol .

It was decided by the group that our year-build will continue next year. Everyone must bring 3-5 unbuilt kits which we will all drool over, and the owners must complete one during 2012.

We are looking for ideas for demos next year – we had some good ideas and only need 2-3 more.

A visitor, Brandon, stopped by to check us out – hope you come back next year.

Doug is again organizing a display for Nov. 11 at the Victory Branch Legion – good work, Doug.

Not much to add here. Shaughn will be taking courses for the next few months and it was moved that I remain as the sole Executive and take over (temporarily) the Sec/Tres duties until his return.

Duncan did another wonderful slide show – on US Navy A/C for the Centennial of US Naval Aviation. Fantastic vintage slides from his collection that I never tire of seeing.
