John's Tamiya Challenger I Mark 3 was built in the markings of the 7th Armoured Brigade (the Desert Rats) from the
1991 Gulf War.

Revell Germany's 1/35 Leopard 1A5 was also built out of the box, except for MV lenses and picture hanging wire for the tow cables.

I feel like we should be playing the "Panzer Lied!" A Tamiya Late Tiger 1, with home-brewed zimmerit, leads the
march of the Tigers. An Italeri Tiger 1, in Tunisian colours, is in the rear to the right; the rest are either Tamiya
or Academy kits.

Inspired by the magnificent Tigers in Combat books, John has set out to make models of vehicles representing
each unit covered in the two volumes. This photograph shows the Tigers of Volume 1, representative of the Heeres Schwere
Panzer Abteilungen. The Tiger Ausf Bs are Tamiya kits, while most of the rest are either Tamiya or Academy ktis (notice
the Academy model with full interior dismantled in the front). We can hardly wait to see Volume 2's haul!

What good are Tigers without artillery support? John enhanced Italeri's 1/35 scale Opel Maultier
Panzerwerfer with the R&J wheel/tire set and Fiulmodelissimo tracks.

What good are Tigers without flak cover? This is Tamiya's Mobelwagen, resting on Dragon individual tracklinks.

What good are Tigers without targets? :-) John took Tamiya's ChTZ production T-34 and added individual track
links to it to represent a specific vehicle depicted in Tiger ace Otto Carius' autobiography, "Tigers in the Mud."
